Juvenile Justice Budget in Freefall? Check Out this Webinar

juvenile-justice-system_man-falling-off-buildingIs Your Juvenile Justice System Budget in Freefall?

Do you manage a local or state juvenile justice agency? How can you manage a dwindling budget and still pursue effective public safety?
Check out this webinar from the National Institute of Corrections (NIC), "Corrections Budgets in Free Fall – Time for Action." (Hat tip to Lore Joplin.)
According to the web site, the webinar will be held September 22, 2010, at 8 am PST / 9am MST / 10 am CST / 11 am EST. However, the listing in the NIC Training Catalog says it'll be held at 9am GMT -0700, which is an hour later. I've emailed for clarification and will update when I hear back.

Time Required

According to the training's web page, you'll need to plan on participating for the full hour, and "to complete any pre-session work (20 additional minutes)."
I recommend registering as soon as possible, because you'll need to allow time for registering with NIC's Learning Center if you haven't done so before. It doesn't appear too difficult, but I found the site a bit overwhelming.
Please note: the webinar and the Learning Center are only open to corrections professionals in certain job categories. (Follow the link to see if you qualify.)
Everyone, however, can access this related, three-hour broadcast (also available in hard copy) from last year: "Corrections Budgets in Free Fall: Finding Opportunities in Turbulent Times."
