Webinar on Model for Student Mental Health and Community Wellness

Update: Webinar Recording on YouTube

The pandemic and other significant societal challenges have had a profound impact on youth in the past year. Schools across the country are grappling with how to best support student’s mental health needs in the coming year. Join us for a free webinar on May 4th to learn about our new model designed to address the challenges schools are facing by integrating:

  • An effective universal mental health screening, brief intervention and referral approach that includes a powerful new youth-friendly screening tool called Check Yourself
  • Whole school restorative practice approaches designed to build trusting relationships, reduce stigma and create alternatives to exclusionary discipline
  • School-Community partnering strategies that bring important community-based organizations to the table to address equity issues, facilitate family engagement and address the needs of the community surrounding the school

Panelists will discuss this innovative new model and its effectiveness in practical terms by highlighting implementation strategies, successes and outcomes from two large scale initiatives that led to the development of this integrative approach, and how the model could integrate with other ongoing initiatives in school districts around the country where programming like this is needed.
