Benjamin Chambers is a freelance writer who focuses on juvenile justice and adolescent substance abuse topics. He edits the Reclaiming Futures blog and oversees its other social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. In addition, he writes news summaries and blog posts for Join Together at Boston University, which "helps community leaders understand and use the most current scientifically valid prevention and treatment approaches."
Benjamin directed the Reclaiming Futures pilot site in Portland, Oregon, from 2002-2007. Before joining Reclaiming Futures, Benjamin was a senior program development specialist for the Multnomah County Department of Community Justice. During that time, he coordinated the development of the county's juvenile treatment court; a 15-bed, secure residential alcohol and drug unit; and Clean Court, the county's second adult drug court.
